For the 2nd year in a row, #1 ranked golfer Chris Moawad was unable to make his start at the Tour Championship, and thus unable to secure the points competition for the season. As a result, Saturday became a procession of sorts for Tim Joe who ended up winning Player of the Year honors for the first time in his 21-year MGM Tour career.
