Career Highlights:
2016: Played just 2 tournaments… Made his season debut at the Hooters, partnering with Clint Crump, and finished 3rd… As defending champion in Match Play lost to #2 seed Ed Quiroz 1-down in the finals. Needing to win the final hole to extend the match to a playoff, he holed out from 20 yards with wedge. Quiroz, though, sank his 4-foot putt to halve the hole and win the match.
2015: In his first full season finished the year ranked 3rd. Played in 8 of 9 regular season tournaments plus the Tournament of Champions, posting 4 top-3 finishes… Became the 3rd golfer in Tour history to have his first career win come in a major. As the #9 seed, and in just the 5th start of his career, won the Match Play Invitational after defeating #8 P-Jay Fidler (1st round), defending champion Travois Gordón (quarterfinals), #5 seed and 2-time champion Doug Vargas (semi-finals), and #2 seed and 2008 champion Chris Moawad in the Finals… Finished T-4th in the Masters; carded the best gross (77), tied for best Devil’s Gulch score (+3), and carded a tournament-high 9 bogeys… Finished runner-up with teammate Marty Witt in the Hooters Team Play Championship. After -1 points on the front-9 scored a 2nd round record 18 points, setting another record for biggest 1st to 2nd round turnaround; they were the only team to record a birdie… Finished 3rd in the Survivor Challenge; his 11-foot putt to force a playoff on the 2nd to last hole lipped out… Finished T-2nd in the Devil Ball Shootout.
2014: Made his MGM Tour debut September 20, 2014 in the Survivor Challenge where he finished 7th out of an 11 man field… Carded a tournament-high 5 pars in the Tour Championship (4 on the back 9 alone); finished T-5th and posted the 2nd best gross.
