The MGM Grand Golf Tour has 3 tournaments considered Majors:
MGM Tour Match Play Invitational: This tournament was the inaugural tournament of the MGM Grand Tour (2003). It gained its status as a “Major” in 2005.
The Masters: This tournament debuted in 2005. Featuring a night time qualifier round, this tournament was immediately designated a “Major” upon its debut on the Tour calendar.
The Tour Championship: As the Tour’s longest consecutive running tournament, The Tour Championship did not gain “Major” status until 2006 when the event expanded to 18 holes. This tournament is the Tour’s “club” championship, or championship of the MGM Tour and is meant to celebrate the existence of the Tour. The winner then, is considered champion golfer of the MGM Tour.

Armen Grigorian (2005 – 2006), Ed Quiroz (2015-2016), and Tim Joe (2018-2019) won 2 Majors in a row, but not in the same calendar year .
