Will They, Or Won’t They
If Tim Joe winning Player of the Year was a shocker, winning the award 2 years in a row was downright unthinkable.  Could he become the first golfer to go #1 three years in a row?  It’s hard to believe (and sad) that 2009 Griffith Observatory Championship winner P-Jay Fidler hasn’t played the tournament in a full decade.  Rory McIlroy finally completed the career slam in majors.  For Walter Vargas Match Play is the final piece to his majors grand slam puzzle.  Doug Vargas makes mention in every season preview as the best golfer on Tour never to have won Player Of The Year.
