2014 PLAYER OF THE YEAR STANDINGS

GORDÓN NEW No.1

MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERAFor the first time since the midway point of the 2010 season Travois Gordón is the Tour’s current number 1 ranked player. His hopes for ending that season #1 were dashed after he missed the cut at The Masters. He won’t have that problem this year now that’s he’s earned a qualifying exemption with his Match Play win. Gordón’s next scheduled Tour start is the Griffith Observatory Championship which he has won twice.

Tide turning in match play?

Travois Gordón and P-Jay Fidler (2013) have crashed the championship party normally occupied by a cast of usual suspects (Grigorian, Vargas Bros., Moawad, Crump, Vaughan).

Milestones

John Frost made his 75th career Tour start, while Rene Quiroz made his 35th. Tim Joe set a new Tour record for consecutive starts (39) breaking the old record held by fellow charter member Armen Grigorian.
