Moawad 4-Peats, Makes Tour History
The match play king did it again. Chris Moawad made it look easy, winning his tournament record-tying 5th Match Play Invitational Saturday. It was his 4th title in a row, making Tour history as the only golfer to win not only Match Play 4 times in succession, but to 4-peat any tournament on the MGM Tour. Moawad dropped a total of just 2 holes, ending both his matches after the 7th hole. His only obstacles to winning Match Play in the last 6 years it seems, has been the 3 cancelled editions (1 for low turnout, 2 due to the pandemic).
