FIDLER VICTORIOUS IN FIRST START OF 2015
He Wins Charly Classic
STUDIO CITY – Having missed the season opener in January, P-Jay Fidler’s first tournament of his 10th year on the MGM Tour would have to wait until February, and he marked the occasion the best way possible: with a win. Saturday Fidler recorded his 4th career victory – first since 2012 – and first Charly win. “I’m really happy with the way I played. I just changed my grip and it seems to be helping. I’m real excited. I’m just happy I get to play in [the Tournament of Champions].” After going +5 thru the first 3 holes, Fidler turned his game around, shooting just +1 over the final 6. “First couple of holes my putting was way off, which I was surprised because [on the practice green] I was spot-on. I just made some adjustments, and then everything just felt good,” said Fidler after carding a new career best round at Whitsett.

QUOTABLE:
“It’s good. I’m glad because sometimes you do your best and you lose, and that’s a bummer. When you set a [personal] record and you still lose, that’s heartbreaking. But I’m glad this time it worked out in my favor, so I’m happy.”
