1st Time Winner Vargas Joins Short List

PALOS VERDES – Twice a winner in 2023, Doug Vargas had to wait a year to play the Tournament of Champions after the exclusive tournament was cancelled last season. Turns out, the wait was worth it, as Vargas carded a solid 37 at picturesque Terranea to win the Tournament of Champions for the first time in his career. He had qualified 10 previous times but missed half of those starts (3 due to injury).
